Hey everybody!
As you all know, I am a big fan of reading (despite being exposed to so many that find it "optional"). So when I come across a fun book that I enjoy, I'm going to share it with you here. Many of you know that I'm a huge fan of Sean William Brown's books, which chronicle and criticize the retail existence. Having said that (and read both books cover to cover many times), I want to add to your literary collection. And my selection for this week comes from a long time fan of the show, who is also a personal friend of mine, Jessica Samuels.
Jessica is still, like many of us, stuck behind a cash register daily. However, the daily drudge of retail hasn't kept her from reaching for her dream of being an author. In her latest release "Tales From Behind the Counter", Jessica tells the story of Angeline, a woman trapped in retail for the last five years. The stories of dealing with the general public in Kyle's General Store will have you reliving moments from your own personal narratives, as well as helping you escape your own personal four walled box of shame (insert your employer's name here). It's funny, honest, and may induce flashbacks if you've been fortunate enough to escape the bonds of retail.
So check out the link below, and support Jessica's dream of writing books instead of doing price checks and answering stupid questions.
P.S. You can also enjoy a free 2 week trial of Audible.com by clicking the banner on our home page. Even better, Jessica's book is in audiobook format there to enjoy! Check it out and support us and Jessica! Cheers!
